Boulder City, Toadstool Hike in Page

OK, these are the last pics from Page. And, yes, I do have some pics from here (near Boulder City) for the next blog.

This hike was a short one and we did it the afternoon of the Birthday Arch hike.  It was like being on a different planet as you can see.  I had been there before but it was still amazing to me!  Enjoy the Toadstools!!!!

Boulder City, Birthday Arch Hike in Page

Our last day in Page we did the Birthday Arch hike in the morning.  It was a beautiful, crisp, sunny day. Perfect for hiking.  The trail meanders up a shallow canyon which is very sandy and would have been tough walking, I think, if the sand had been dry. But the previous rain packed the sand making it much easier to walk on.

Boulder City, Lees Ferry AZ, Part 2

So please remember, I am putting the city we are currently in first in the title, then a comma and subject of current post.

After the Lonely Dell Ranch, we drove over to Lees Ferry and hiked along the river a couple of miles.  There are remains of some buildings and a sunken steamboat that we checked out.  Had a great afternoon.  The whole time we walked along the Colorado we were alone and only saw one boat.

On our way "home", we stopped and did a short hike to Horseshoe Bend a wonderfully scenic spot.

Aren't the colors in the hills amazing?
