Doughton Park, Blue Ridge Pkwy, More Yadkin Wineries

We have been back up on the Blue Ridge Parkway a couple of times doing some trails in the Doughton Park area.  Got some nice pics right after a rain one morning.

Also made another trip back to the Yadkin Valley for more wineries and may make one more;)

Doughton Park has several
trails that take off from a
couple of different overlooks
along this stretch of the
parkway.....around the
240 mile marker.

had to throw in a couple
of pics of the local
agriculture....

tobacco and
christmas trees!

Visited 4 more of the
Yadkin Valley wineries...

They were nice but we
actually preferred the wine
at the first two places, Elkin
Creek and Jones Von Drele
which are a few miles
away from these

from Piccione's front patio, vineyards in the distance

Very pretty after the rain!

Fodder Stack Trail

So excited to see 2 red
spotted newts this day!

lots of nice looking wild berries!

Bluff Mountain Trail in Doughton Park

wild flowers everywhere!
