Apache Junction, Allie Marie

I''ve been dying to get some pics of our granddaughter, Allie, on the blog so finally here are some.  This is the day before and then the day of her 1st birthday on March 13th.  A big party was held for her the next weekend but, as her birthday was a weekday, Jen made Allie her own cake and we celebrated at home that day first.

Apache Junction AZ, We are back with new motorhome!

Wow what a whirlwind life we are leading right now!  We transferred our stuff to the new motorhome yesterday and this morning left Prescott in our new home eventually working our way back to Apache Junction where we are parking it for 2 weeks at Cathy and Pat's house so we can fly to Turkey tomorrow to be there for my brothers wedding!! Whew!  I am trying to pack but wanted to get off a couple of posts as I don't know what the situation will be like in Turkey for posting though I am taking my computer.

These pics are from Catalina State Park just outside Tucson, taken on March 2nd.  Crazy huh??  Enjoy:

Prescott AZ, picking up new motorhome

Hi everyone I'm afraid we have no Wi-Fi right now as we are in Prescott Arizona picking up our new motorhome and there is no Wi-Fi available at the dealership. We will be here a few days so if and when I get a chance to use the Wi-Fi I will get some more pictures otherwise I will certainly do it as soon as Possible.

Omaha NE, Fort Bowie Winery Feb 29

After we finished the hike at Ft Bowie we stopped in at the Fort Bowie Winery in a nearby town.  I took the butterfly pics on the Fort Bowie trail too.  Not very good but they don't pose very well either!

Omaha NE, Fort Bowie Feb 29th

Our last day in the Benson area we walked out to the ruins of Fort Bowie.  I have included a few markers to explain what the fort was all about.  Very interesting.  The plaster you see on the ruins was added to protect the remainder of the fragile walls of the buildings which were just held together by mud.  A very nice combination of a hike and visit to the fort.:
