Day in Charleston, SC

Spent a very nice day visiting Charleston.  The Rainbow Market, waterfront and historical area reminded me a lot of New Orleans.  Lots of historical landmarks in this city! Sweetgrass baskets are a local art and we saw several women working on baskets of various styles and sizes in the market and on street corners.  Stopped on the way "home" at Swig and Swine for some yummy BBQ and a good brew!:

Rainbow Market

All kinds of Carolina goodies!

The woman below had help from other members of her family in making all those beautiful baskets
Lot of work, don't think I have that kind of patience;)

Pretty fountains down on the water front
The cables on the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge support a 1500ft wide opening under the bridge:

Rainbow Row, colorful old homes and businesses

Dock Street Theatre

Inside and outside of the Huguenot Church.

Love the Gothic Revival architecture !

Did enjoy strolling these streets!

Liked the name and the food and drink!
