Paso Robles CA, Wine Tasting Day

What a beautiful day it was!  Nice cool morning with an afternoon high of about 94 but it peaked at that and then dropped off and the evening was lovely.  We checked out 4 new (for us) wineries today and enjoyed most of the wine and all of the company:)  There is a wine fest in town this weekend and we think this is the lull before the storm.  Fine with us, more time for chatting and tasting at the wineries!

As you can see, some of the wineries have beautiful tasting rooms and surrounding grounds:

Mike is unhooking the jeep in front of our favorite winery, Tobin James

baby squirrels playing outside Paradise this morning

vineyards in the fields next to where we are parked

winery dog at Rio Seco with diff colored eyes.  note his hangout
