Schramm State Park

Just down the road from our KOA is veery nice little state park.  I went hiking alone there a few mornings ago in the rain but because it is heavily forested, I felt only a few drops of the rain!  Just a few feet into the forest I scared up an owl and a deer, unfortunately, I could not get a pic of either.  Had a nice hike just the same.  Lots of misty rain which is why the pics look the way they do.

I have done this trail several times over the years on visits to the Omaha area and it is always pleasant.  There is an abandoned fish hatchery and some ponds there which are worth checking out but this time  I saved them for the next hike here which will probably happen in the next couple of weeks.

  1. That is so neat when you scare up an owl! The turkeys are great too! Looks like a great place to hike. Hope the new baby and the rest of the family are doing well!
