Geronimo Springs Museum

We visited the Geronimo Springs Museum located in Truth or Consequences and really enjoyed it!  I love checking out these small town museums as they often have history of the area as told through pioneer families.  It is so interesting to see how they survived and thrived despited hardships.

This museum was no exception there but also had an amazing pottery and Indian artifacts collection along with a whole room dedicated to Ralph Edwards. For those of you who have been around a while, he hosted the show Truth or Consequences and the town of TorC got it's name because they changed the name from Warm Springs to host the ToC show for an episode and the name stuck and Edwards became an annual visitor to the town for their Fiesta Parade for many years until his death in 2005.  Apparently he loved the town and the town loved him!

this interesting little plaza is located to the left of the museum...

it has a fountain running down both sides
