Grand Island, NY

We are here in/on Grand Island, NY,  for 6 full days and have a lot on our schedule so the posts will be a little more frequent for a bit.  There is so much to do in the area.....like Niagara Falls....but not today;)

We started out with a hike in Grand Island along the Niagara River, so close to Canada we could easily have swum over to a Canadian Island:

We can see the city of Niagara Falls, Canada.  The mist in front of the buildings is the mist coming off Horseshoe Falls.

Saw a little wildlife on the trail:)

 Then we drove into Buffalo to visit the Botanical Gardens which will be in a separate post due to the amount of pics:)  On our way to the gardens we passed a beautiful basilica, the basilica of Our Lady of Victory.  It was so ornate on the outside I had to see the inside:

The inside is remarkable!  My pics do not do it justice.

 Later Mike had to check out the birthplace of chicken wings!  Of course!!  It is definitely a fun place and Mike was very happy with the wings:)

We had to finish our day with a brew at Resurgence.  Not only did they have a couple of IPAs that Mike liked but they had the first sours we've come across in a while for me to enjoy!
