Wineries and back to Soledad Canyon

Yesterday we drove down towards El Paso and visited a couple of wineries Mike had read about.  The  La Viña Winery, an estate winery, and El Valle Winery.  Both were very nice and we enjoyed some nice wines and nice conversation with the winemaker and wife at one and the owner at the other!

This morning we drove back up to Soledad Canyon to complete the Barr Canyon hike we could not do due to the cold a few days ago.  Very nice with the pleasant surprise of yet another house ruin.  Then we visited a couple of local wineries, again both very nice!

La Viña Estate Winery

Guillermo, the winemaker, gave us a tour of La Viña

Zin Valle is our first Texas winery!
