Las Conchas Trl, Santa Fe Forest, NM

We drove back out NM hwy 4 today because that area is so beautiful and we wanted to look for a hike to do.  We stopped at the ranger station in Jemez Springs and were told we must do the Las Conchas Trl.  If you are ever in this area, this is definitely one of those must do trails!

a very popular area for rock climbers as well!

the trail follows the east fork of the Jemez River

just beautiful!!

After a couple of miles the trail switch backs up to a mesa where we walked through a lovely aspen forest......
the yellow flowers are dandelions....not weeds up here!

  1. What a beautiful place! The water sure is a nice surprise for NM hiking, we seemed to be in areas with so little water when we stayed in NM.
