Gallup

This is a nice mesa top trail and the city of Gallup hosts half marathons and the like on this trail. We walked the Stem and First Mesa loop sections which was just 8 miles out and back of this trail system.
In case you did not see animals, there were a few metal art silhouettes in various places on the trail.  Cute.

After the hike we stopped in town to look around the old El Rancho Hotel where countless movie stars stayed while filming westerns in the day.  Fun!
