Historic Mesilla

Today we head south towards Terlingua, TX.  It is a long trek so we will be stopping for the night in Van Horn, TX.  We will be a month in Terlingua exploring Big Bend NP and Big Bend State Park.

Yesterday we had to take care of stuff but did find a little time in the afternoon to check out the plaza in the historic town of Mesilla where the name Billy the Kid kept popping up. A lot of history there.

We finished the day with dinner at the Pecan Grill and Brewery in Las Cruses and I checked out a pecan beer!  Interesting!

Now Billy the Kid gift shop;)

quaint little movie theatre
