Wells NV, Winchell Lake Trl

Drove up into the Humbolt Wilderness today to hike the  Winchell Lake trail.  It is 8 miles roundtrip which is kinda pushing it but we read about it and it sounded like it would not be too steep or too many hills.......we were dreaming!  It was a bear but so pretty!  I did not expect to see so much fall color here and as you can see, it's awesome!

stopped at Angle Lake first as it could be reached by car

yep, mountain lion, and pretty fresh!  there were lots of deer tracks as well
