Baker NV, Lehman Cave

We went back into the park today to tour Lehman Cave.  It is a live cave complete with dripping water, a few bats and tons of beautiful formations!  I had been there many years ago but did not remember how beautiful it is.  Of course, this time we had a really good tour guide who let us take all the time we needed to take pictures and who was full of interesting information.  Yeah, take pictures!  If you remember, we were not allowed to take pictures at Kartchner Caverns down in southern Arizona.

The tour lasted well over 1 1/2 hours and was 1/2 mile in length.  We had a great time!

Ranger Travis is telling us about cave etiquette before we enter through the door behind him.

see the water drop on the end of the baby stalactite?

see how narrow the walls of the cave were in some areas....yes that is the top of Mikes head:)

yes, that fuzzy looking black spot is a bat,  the most seen in the cave by the rangers is 3 bats at one time so we were lucky to see this one!

Amazing isn't it!
