Woodland WA, Fort Clatsop

Just south of Fort Stevens on the coast is the wreck of the Peter Iredale.  I have been there before and it is always good for a few pics.  By the way, Fort Stevens, the wreck and Fort Clatsop (below) are all in Oregon, just across the Columbia.

Fort Clatsop is a re-creation of the fort Lewis and Clark built and hunkered down in for the winter after finally arriving at their destination.....the Pacific Ocean in 1805.  Sacajawea was with them at this location.  We arrived at the site not long before closing so I was enlisted to help fold the flag at the end of the day.  Then the flag had a mere 15 stars!
