Avalanche Lake Trail

Yesterday Mike and I did the Avalanche Lake trail.  Lisa and Hans took the day off hiking to rest. They hit the road this morning for their next destination.  We had a great time hiking together with them and look forward to our paths crossing in the future for more fun hikes!

As you can see another beautiful trail with a couple of surprises!:

The morning sun was not in a good place for our first view of the lake.  But if you look close you can see three waterfalls flowing into the far end of the lake.  We headed to the far end for some better pics!

This loon marked an historical moment at this lake!  A couple of volunteers sitting by the lake with binocs counting bird and animal sightings said this was the first loon ever seen on this lake!
Can't see the waterfalls facing this way but a much nicer picture!
Here are a couple of waterfall pics.

This weasel came running up the path toward us and then abruptly stopped to check us out before running for the woods.
