Part 2 of the Going to the Sun road drive!

Round trip for this amazing day, we put about 160 miles on the jeep.  It was so worth it!

On the way back to Logan Pass we had some great views of the deep snow still in many of the mountain saddles.........

And looking up at the waterfalls overhead was just awesome!
We parked at Logans Pass and decided to do the Hidden Lake Overlook Trail and for this time of day it could not have been a better choice!  It was about 5pm when we hit the trail and the light was perfect!
The trail takes off behind the Logan Pass Visitor Center and climbs up a mile and a half of wild flower filled meadow.  The views were spectacular!

In the pic below, you can see part of the trail.  About 3/4 of a mile was wooden walkway.....it did not make it any less steep however;)

 And then we saw.......
With her baby!!!!!!  Up close and personal.  What a thrill!

At the overlook we were able to see this magnificent view of Hidden Lake.......

And more mountain goats!   There was a small herd near the overlook.  This is a male.....
Here is my favorite pic.  How cool is that!!!!!!!
One last look at Hidden Lake before heading back.

On the way back got this nice pic of a ground squirrel.  They were everywhere just like the marmots on the High Line Trail.
 What an amazing day!
