Mt. Vernon park in Bellevue

One of our friends and blog members, Perry, skyped us yesterday to ask why he could not comment on the blogs.  As I thought everyone could, just hadn't, I went in and checked settings.......should be able to now;)   If you can't Perry, please let me know.

It was a warm NE day today.  Humid in the sun.  It is, as you know, football season, and it is hard to pull Mike away from the TV on Sundays right now but we did get out for a couple of hours.

We were hoping to do a walk in Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue.  I had been there a couple of times years ago and really enjoyed the trails there.  Unfortunately, it is next to the Missouri River and the flooding has caused some road closure.  What really stopped us today though were the mosquitoes!  Nasty!

We ended up taking a small walk around Mt. Vernon park in Bellevue.  It is a flower garden but as it is near the end of the season, the flowers were on their way out and good pictures were not available.

Did get a nice pic of Jared, Jen and Allie though:)
