Moab, UT, Sandflats and Lasal Mountains

Yesterday it rained and was really cold again so we thought we would drive up and explore the Sandflats Recreation Area.  It is up on the plateau and all dirt roads with several trails for ATV's and bikes.  But one can also hike.  So as we drove through to higher elevation, we picked out a couple of trails we want to come back and hike.

                                                                               Hoodoos on the sand flats.

After crossing the sand flats we decided to continue up into the Lasal Mtns and snow and this is what we saw...

                                                                                                    Oowah Lake

Haystack Mtn on left is 11,600 but some of these peaks are over 12,000
                                                                   Warner Lake....lightly frozen over
Mike just washed the jeep day before.....got another bath last night
