Redcrest CA, "Jurassic Park" Pt 2

Here is the rest of that wonderful hike plus the "Corkscrew Tree", so named because its three trunks wind around each other.  This is very unusual for the redwoods but as you can see in another of these pics, we did come across another tree that corkscrewed a little bit!

Note that it is as though these trees never really do die because even when they fall new trees sprout right from the rootballs or trunks!
