Cloverdale CA, trip to the coast, pt 1

A couple of days ago we drove out to the coast to Salt Point State Park and then south down to Bodega Bay where the Hitchcock movie "The Birds" was filmed, a classic.  Heading out we saw wild boar along side the road.  That was a treat!  We had seen signs of them on trails we have walked in the Lake Sonoma area but this was the first sighting.

When we got to the coast we stopped for a small hike at Rhododendron State Park. Very nice, flowers and coastal redwoods and ferns.  Was like a scene out of "Jurassic Park".

you can just about see a couple of piglets in the grass on the right

there they go!
