Redcrest CA, road trip

We figured our first full day here we would take a road trip to check out some of the area.  So we drove through some of the Rockefeller Forest out to the coast and circled back through the quaint town of Ferndale.  Just a couple of miles into the forest a black bear ran in front of the jeep and not much further down the road I got the pic below of the deer with her twins feeding!

The coast here is so different, black sand for starters, colder and a bit more stark but very beautiful in its own way:

Spam Museum, Austin, Minnesota

We were staying just a few miles away in Blooming Prairie and, of course, were going into Austin to a couple of breweries....how could we no...
