Hoodsport WA, Port Townsend

Yesterday we drove up to Port Townsend.  Some awesome views there as you can look across to the San Juan Islands and Victoria BC.  We spent the morning at Ft. Worden State Park, which I will tell you about in a later post, and the afternoon in old downtown area near the marina.

Port Townsend city hall

ferries were running all day back and forth to the islands

we were encouraged to walk through and check out the wooden boats being built

sailboats.....for sale!

no motor on this 180 year old sailboat!

on the way "home", we drove to the top of Mt. Walker to check out the views across the Puget Sound.  That is Seattle in the distance.

Mt. Rainer is in this pic.....right behind the mist!!!!
